Obituary

Passed peacefully away in the comfort of her home at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Community on September 23, 2023, Phyllis Leah Julia Piercey, aged 87 years. She is predeceased by her husband James (Jim).

She leaves to mourn her four children, Karl (Denise), Michele (Tom), Elaine, and Gary (Angela); three grandchildren Jason (Niki), Steven (Carlie), and Alicia (Josh); three great-grandchildren Clara, Lexi, and Rory; and many good friends.

The family is extremely grateful to the staff at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Community for their exceptional kindness and compassion shown to our Mom during her lengthy stay, and especially for their most recent efforts to ensure her last hours were so peaceful.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday September 28, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm, and from 7 pm to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Carnell’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11 am.
