It is with deep sadness that the family of Ralph Thomas Courage announces his passing. He passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on December 13, 2022.

He is predeceased by his parents Moses and Margaret Courage as well as 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Leaving his beloved wife of 61 years, Selina (Coish); daughter Beverly Vokey, son Derrick (Kim) Courage, sisters in law Jessie (Dan) Broaders, Muriel (Celestine) Doyle, and brother in law Bob (Madonna) Coish.  As well as many nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends with a lifetime of fond loving memories.

During his life of 90 years, he enjoyed many great times with his family and friends at Max’s Place.

His career spanned 38 years working as a machinist at the Railway but most of all his dedication to his family was of utmost importance.

Visitation will be at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place from The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 17 at 2 pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. The family requests that masks be worn. The funeral service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Selina and family: So saddened to learn of Ralph’s passing. Ralph was a great man and friend. I’ll always cherish my memories of the great Flipper dinners he cooked for me, and the times spent with him at Max’s Place. Please accept my sincere condolences, and may God bless you all. Please accept my condolences. Ralph was a wonderful man that was a great friend to many who knew him. I’m so sorry Selina for your loss. The folks at Max’s Place will miss him. I spent a few Saturday evenings with him and the rest of the crowd at the HWL. Ralph was a nice man with a beautiful smile. I’ll always remember him. My mom and dad (Peggy and Gordon Bursey) were also friends a of Ralph and Selina. My thoughts and. prayers will be with you all tomorrow.
