To Carol and the whole Stoyles family, my condolences. Rick was such a lovely presence in the neighbourhood and friend to so many. He is missed.

To the Stoyles Family – so sorry to hear of Rick’s passing. As the youngsters on Horwood St. we loved it when himself or Jim came out to join our street hockey games usually played in front of the Stolyes or Myrick houses. Have not seen any of you recently but occasionally drive down Horwood St. with fond memories. Deepest condolences – Mike & Foley Family (#11)

To Josh and family, I was shocked to get this news, my condolences to the family. The big man as he was known in the dressing room had a sense of humor like no other. As we all know the antics in the dressing room having a beer after the game was a big part Barron’s Ockey and Ricky was always there to contribute with a dry one liner. My last conversation with Ricky was at the summer hockey party , it was so good to have Ricky there to have a beer with Da Bys. Rest in peace Ricky you will be missed.

Mr. and Mrs. Stoyles, Jim, Carol, and Josh,

Sorry to hear about Ricky’s passing! I was saddened to hear the news and I wanted to express my condolences to you at this time.

I knew Ricky for many years from the late 60’s to the mid 70’s as we played a lot of street hockey together down on Larch Place with Jim, my brother, Johnny, the Beresford’s, Geoff Knight, and all the other guys from the Larch Place/Carpasian Road area. Rick was a great hockey player with probably the hardest right side slapsot that I’ve ever seen! Though we didn’t play ice hockey against each other because of our age difference, I saw Ricky play many times with PWC and Avalon and his pension to wind up with his slap shot had opposing goalies shaking in the net!

See you later Ricky it was nice knowing a classy guy on and off the ice!

God Bless Ricky!🙏✝️
