Passed peacefully away on January 31, 2024 at the Health Sciences Centre, Rita Drake (Brown).

Left to mourn is her loving family, her children Rosalind Power (Jim), Brenda Drake, Judy Kelland (Dave), Jim Drake (Noreen), Debbie Bradbury (Sam); Derrick Drake (Sandra), Craig Drake (Lynn), Chris Drake (Janice); along with 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sister Barb Power; brother Les Brown; sister-in-law Jean (Millie) Brown; son-in-law Wayne Hickey (Corrina), and a large extended circle of family and friends.

Mom was all about family. She loved her family and loved nothing more than baking and cooking for her family, especially at Christmas with her cherry, apricot and fruit cakes. There were many cakes baked, enjoyed, and happily given out by her each year.
