Obituary
It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, wife, sister and friend, Rosemary Hussey (nee McCormack) age 67. Rose passed away surrounded by her loving family at home – Sunday Jan 8, 2023 following a brief and courageous battle with lung cancer.
Leaving to mourn husband Myles Hussey, Son – Justin Gladney (wife Chanette, grandchildren Emily and Noah) Daughter – Cheryl Crummey (husband Paul, grandchildren Elle and Cole) Son – Curtis Hussey (Ann Marie Hickey).
Also leaving to mourn her close siblings Irene (John), Pauline, Joanie, Jenny, and brother Robert along with Carmel (sister) and John (brother). In addition by Myles’s daughters, Elizabeth, Michelle, Lori and his sisters Debbie, Mary, brother Don as well as many other close relatives and friends that Rose touched in her lifetime.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the doctors and nurses and Palliative care team who helped ease her pain.
Rose enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with people she loved, especially her children and grandchildren. To know Rose was to love her, she will never be forgotten and forever missed.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral Mass will take on Friday August 11th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Interment to take place on Saturday August 12th, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Rd.
Rose’s empathy towards those less fortunate was almost as big as her heart. Donations can be made in Rose’s memory to a local charity of your choice.

I had the great pkeasure of knowing Rose many years ago. So sad to hear of her passing. Deepest condolences to Rose’s family and friends. She will certainly be missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.. RIP

Such a beautiful soul. I was lucky to know Rosie for a long time through Justin. She always made sure that we felt welcome in her home and loved to have a chat to catch up with whatever was going on in your life at the time. I was so sad to hear the passing of your mom and wife I met Rose and Myles when my son and Curtis practically grow up together and became friends and still remain friends today.
