It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Shan Gomierato at 43 years young. A cherished Baba to Avery & Beckett, a devoted partner to Kendra and loving friend and family member to so many.
Shan was a pillar of strength and support for those around them, always ready with a listening ear, a helping hand, and a warm smile. Their presence brought joy and comfort to all who knew them, and their kindness and generosity touched countless lives. A world without Shan is near incomprehensible.
Shan was predeceased by their father and leaves to mourn their wonderful and loving partner and soulmate Kendra, their beautiful babies Avery & Beckett, many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a large circle of friends and colleagues.
As a Baba, Shan was a beacon of love and guidance, always putting Avery & Beckett first and providing unwavering support day in and day out. It goes without saying that no stronger love has ever existed than the love between Shan and their children.
As a partner, Shan was a source of support, love, strength, and unwavering loyalty. Their bond with Kendra was a testament to the power of true connection and mutual respect. Truly Shan had found the “one” that most of us long to experience and that love was reciprocated in every move, every single day.
As a family member and a friend Shan was a steadfast companion, a source of laughter and camaraderie, and a shoulder to lean on in times of need. Shan was and will always be an example of what a true and loyal friend really is. Shan was always there to fill your cup, even on the days when they couldn’t. Shan’s absence leaves a void that can never be filled and we will forever long for just one more minute.
A celebration of Shan’s life will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home at 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday May 5th from 7-9pm with a funeral service on Monday May 6th at 10am at the same venue.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the trust of Avery & Beckett. Trustofaveryandbeckett@outlook.com
A celebration of life will also take place in Montreal at a later date.
May Shan forever rest in peace, surrounded by the immense love and memories they leave behind.

To Avery & Beckett and Kendra, and all of Shan’s loved ones, my deepest condolences. Shan’s presence was a gravitational pull. His ability to make another person feel good was very special. For someone who was not always seen or heard, he certainly knew how to evoke that in others. I am grateful for every moment we shared, the laughs and the deeper conversations. Shan, thanks for the memories, you were loved more than you could ever know XO.
I was devastated to hear of Shan’s passing. I had the absolute privilege of knowing them as a friend and work colleague. Shan had an infectious laugh that brightened any room and could turn the worst day into something positive. Shan was also one of the brightest people I knew. Life is very situational and Shan certainly never had the opportunities that many of us are afforded. This is one thing I deeply admired about them, how to overcome life’s obstacles and persevere. I will miss you my friend. My deepest condolences to Kendra, Avery & Beckett, family, and friends.

Shan was truly was “one of kind” , wonderful in so many ways, kind, caring, compassionate, funny and full of love for his family. His laugh would fill a room with joy. Shan was a the kind of person that most of us could only aspire to be with such a positive personality and unconditional love for Kenrda, Avery & Beckett.. Hold onto to your memories and know that he will always be in your heart ! can only hope that he is resting in paradise now. He will be in my heart forever.

My sincere condolences to Kendra and the little ones. I used to deal with Shan in my time with PF Collins and I remember the birth of the twins and she was so proud and happy. Shan was always such a joy to deal with …. if I needed something at Eimskip it was Shan that I would call … Life is indeed short. Big hugs to everyone.

Shan. You were a neighbour one time but we never got a chance to meet. I often wanted to reach out, as I know you once struggled.
However, then you met Kendra, whom I know. I know since you’ve met, she has brought you the most joy, love and companionship. Kendra, during this hard time, remember that you provided Shan with what was most needed. Remember that you gave Shan some of the happiest times of her life, even if it is toward the end. I hope you can take some comfort in that.

So sorry to hear of Shan’s passing. I had many business dealings with Shan over the years. I hope their family takes comfort in knowing how many people they brought joy and laughter too.
