Obituary

In Loving Memory of Sharon Marie Roche

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother Sharon who peacefully passed on March 9, 2024. She was a pillar of strength, a beacon of love, and a source of boundless kindness to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Born May 1, 1952, she brought light and warmth into the lives of her family and friends. Throughout her life, she exemplified grace, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones. Her nurturing spirit and selfless devotion were the cornerstone of our family, shaping us into the individuals we are today. She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Nellie Roche (nee Kinsella), her brothers Gary and Jerry Roche, and her sister, Mary Kelly (nee Roche).

Sharon will be remembered for her kind spirit and her enduring love that knew no bounds. Her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire us all.

She leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by her four boys, Leonard Power (Amanda), Elliott Power (Margaret), Conrad Power, and Byron Power (Analisa). She had endless love for her grandchildren Alex, Kayla (Lloyd), Kenesha, Logan, Keenan, Kyle, and Kenzie. Her life was blessed with three great grandchildren, Alexandrea, Maddison, and Lilly. She will be missed and forever loved by her surviving siblings Anne (Patty), Irene (Terry), and Diane. We were all touched by her presence. Though she may have left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

As we bid farewell to our beloved mother, we take solace in knowing that she has found peace and eternal rest. May her memory be a blessing, and may her love continue to guide us through life’s journey.

A Christian burial and Celebration of Life will be will be announced at a later date.

Rest in peace, mom. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Heart felt condolences to you all on the passing of Aunt Sharon. She was always welcome at Mom’s kitchen table for a visit over a cup of tea and biscuits. And when she, Mom, and Aunt Lena worked night shifts at the fish plant, Aunt Sharon was the designated driver and the one who always got them home safe and sound , even after navigating the fog to Arnold’s Cove I’m told! Please know that Aunt Sharon lives on in my memories as a strong woman and proud mother with a kind heart, warm smile, and infectious laugh that I can till hear when I think of her.

Diane. So sorry for your loss. Sending sincere condolences to all the Family. May Sharon Rest in Peace.

Thinking of you during this very sad time. I will always remember Sharon’s beautiful personality. We were in the same class at St. Francis and I always admired her handwriting.

It is with a heavy heart that I received the news that Sharon had passed away. The original Roche family of Middle Cove…..Gentleman Jim’s lineage…grows smaller but his family lineage is strong and growing with Sharon’s family and their progeny. God speed, Sharon!
