I first met Susie way, way back when I was in Grade Three. To all her students she was “Miss”. To dear Susie’s family. She was truly a lovely lady. I got to know her in Pouch Cove when I served there. Later I reconnected with her at North Pond Home. She remained the sweet, warm woman I had gotten to know when she visited All Saints Church many times years ago. The last time I saw her at North Pond she gave me several dishcloths she had made. I will always treasure her memory. God bless all of you who loved her. She is safe in the arms of Jesus, her Redeemer whom she loved and served in her earthly life. Hold her close in your hearts. Canon Shirley former Anglican rector of the then Parish of Pouch Cove-Torbay.
