Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of  Terrance (Terry) Handregan, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and retired fire fighter, on October 9, 2022, in St. John’s.

Predeceased by mother Louise Rodgers, father Michael Handregan, step-father Chesley Rodgers, nephew Michael Lynch, and sister Jacquelyn Handregan.

Leaving to mourn wife Ivy Handregan, sisters Paula Handregan and Mickie Handregan, son Sean Handregan (Kellie), daughter Gina Handregan, granddaughters Jillian Handregan, Carly Handregan, Brooklyn Stone and Madison Stone; grandson Jayden Stone, and niece Heather Lynch.

Special thanks to Kenny Roche and the St. John’s Regional Fire Department.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, October 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Thursday, October 13 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Funeral service will be held from St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Logy Bay Road on Thursday, October 13 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment will take place at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road on Friday, October 14 at 10 a.m.

To Ivy and family, I met Terry through our rides with the GWRRA and found him to be one of the friendliest guys anyone could meet. Had a chat with him only a month ago and so shocked by the news of his untimely passing. Cherish your wonderful memories.

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss Sean, Kellie and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Linda and I have many fond motorcycling memories of Terry and cousin Ivy. We met at GWRRA rallies and a the Gander Ride for Sight. We shared an avid interest in motorcycling. Terry loved to ride, a passion which he enjoyed to the end. Terry was devoted to Ivy who was his constant travel companion. Terry will be missed by fellow motorcyclists but his spirit rides on.
