Mom was an active member of the Salvation Army for most of her life with a special place in her heart for the youth. She was well known for her cooking and baking and ensured no one left with their pants fitting just right. She loved to knit. Her sweaters, mittens and slippers live on warming the lives of so many. She was loving and generous to more than her immediate family and will be missed by so many of the lives she touched, but by Dad the most.

Special thanks to the staff of the Agnes Pratt Home, especially the staff of Pratt Place for the care and support provided to our Mom while she resided there, also to the ongoing care and support they provide to our Dad who is still a resident there.

Cremation has taken place.

Sorry to hear of Vera’s passing. We remember her from our short time living in Roddickton. May you cherish the memories you have made. Praying that God will place His arms of love and strength around you. Sense His peace and that will help you get through the days ahead. Remember that ” to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” and that now Vera is sitting at the feet of Jesus, enjoying the splendors of Heaven. She has fought the fight, ran the race and kept the faith and has now received her Heavenly reward. Praying for you all.

To Everett and family. We were saddened to hear of Vera passing but rejoice in her Promotion to Glory. We have such fond memories of days spent in Buchans where Vera was such a faithful soldier. Please be assured of our prayers in these day. My mother (Phoebe Hefford) wanted me to pass on her heartfelt condolences as well. God Bless you in these days of sorrow and loss. Our prayer is that you will experience his grace and peace in abundant measure.

Uncle Ev, Boyd, Barry, Yolanda, I was saddened by the news that Aunt Vera was promoted to glory. She was a great cook and baker and was always there for family when needed. I visited her and Uncle Ev in the fall of 2019. She is now playing her heavenly tamborine with all the saints who have gone before. My condolences and prayers are with you at this time.

To The Rideout Family Sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. We remember her and her family well from living in Buchans. Sending love and prayers at this sad time may God bless you all.

Uncle Ev, Boyd, Barry and Yolanda, my heart felt condolences on the passing of aunt Vera, she was a sweetheart of a lady, from my first memories of coming to Buchans berry picking on the Labor Day weekend to their visit to our house, the cooking, the fun and the special games that uncle Ev would make. She is learning her wings now and walking those streets of gold, meet at the gates with open arms by all the family gone on top glory before her. Keep her memories close as you go through the next year of first without her. Big Hugs to you all.
