It is with great sadness the family of Victor John Snow announce his passing on August 4th, 2023, at the age of 77 years. He was a dear partner, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and cousin.

Predeceased by his dear mother Raymor (Peet) Snow, brothers Thomas Snow and Derrick Snow, and his dearest companion and buddy, Jazz (his dog).  Leaving to mourn his partner of 24 years Margaret Cranford, children shared with Barbara Snow: Christopher Snow (Angela), James Snow (Roxane), and Jason Snow (Tamara), daughter Lisa Joyce (David), twelve treasured grandchildren Kendra Snow (Chris), Kyle Snow, Rebecca Joyce, Abigail Joyce (Brady), Keagan Snow, Olivia Snow, Averi Snow, Adelynn Snow, Raya Snow, Reese Snow, Ryder Snow and Adriana Snow; brothers William Snow (Marjorie), Douglas Snow (Peggy) and Gerry Snow (Karen) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He also had a large circle of friends from all across Newfoundland who held a special place in his heart, especially in his late years on Horsechops Road and Track Road.

The family would like to thank Dr. Douglas Angel and his team on the 5th Floor at St. Clare’s Hospital where Victor was cared for with such compassion during his operations and post operations at the beginning of his cancer diagnosis. Also, Dr. Joy McCarthy, Oncologist and Marlise Ball, RN, and their supportive team at the Health Sciences Cancer Clinic where he spent the last 3 years battling his cancer. They would like to thank Michelle Rossiter, RN who visited Victor at his home in his last year brightening his day with many song and dances along with her gentle compassion. And lastly; but, not least, Carmel Collins, RN and all the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre where he spent his last days surrounded by all who loved him. All who took care of their dad took care of him like he was family and the family are truly thankful.

Thank you to all family and friends who showed your support during this difficult time.

Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road August 9th, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A celebration of his life will take place on August 10th, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Carnell Memorial Chapel.

Dear Vic’s family and loved ones,
I have fond memories of Vic when he used to help us with the old house and property on Hogans Pond. Though I had not seen him for a long time, he often comes to mind (with smiles and chuckles) when there is a tough job at hand. He was a pleasure to be around. I’m sure he is missed by many! Please accept our sincere condolences.

Dou & Peggy and all the Snow Families

Chris and Lisa, my introduction to a construction site came at a very young age. If it wasn’t your Dad it was Pete working with my father, at the homestead, my Mother always had a renovation up her sleeve. Whatever the project they were always laughing and enjoying themselves. Looking back they had the secret receipe, they loved what they were doing, it wasn’t work.

Your Dad’s service was a tribute to a man who Loved life and was Loved.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time!
