Obituary
We are so heartbroken to announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and friend .
Wanda was born and raised in St. Phillip’s. She spent most of her childhood living on her grandparents farm on Tolt Road. She loved her grandparents immensely and spoke of them often.
Besides learning all about farming from them she also learned how to cook and bake. She was a pro in the kitchen and could make the best jigs dinner you would ever have. She was well known each Christmas for the more than dozen cherry, gumdrop and apricot cakes she would make and give to friends. You were a lucky person if you were on Wanda’s cake list.
Wanda loved her husband and her children more than anything else. Her biggest wish in life was for them to be healthy and happy.
Wanda is predeceased by her beloved grandparents Andrew and Emily Tucker. Her father and mother in law Edmund and Jean Somerton.
Left with beautiful and loving memories Wanda’s husband of 43 years Gary. Son Andrew ( Jodi and sweet Luca), daughter Jennifer. Grandchildren Aidan and Jillian. Sister in laws Bernie and Holly. Best friend Colleen Fitzpatrick and childhood best friend Michelle Pelley ( Clint).
We know you are now with your beloved fur baby Toby. We will love and miss you forever.

I am sending my condolences to you at this very difficult time. I spent so much time with your family growing up and Wanda was at the front and center through those years. So many baseball games in the backyard and snacks from the kitchen! May she rest in peace.

We had good times at our regular Sunday dinners at Broderick’s. But her own jiggs dinners were amazing, and as Dot would say Wanda made the best jiggs dinners ever.
