Obituary
Passed peacefully away at Glenbrook Lodge on May 1, 2024, Wilfred Wells, originally from Trinity, Bonavista Bay, in his 78th year.
Predeceased by parents Alfred and Emma (Denty); siblings Harold, Blanche (Brown), Cecil, Caleb, Lewis, Walter and Joseph; sisters-in-law Clara and Rebecca; brothers-in-law Harvey Brown and Owen Bungay; and parents-in-law Harold and Theresa (Dick) Preston.
Leaving to mourn wife of 56 years, Wendy; sons James (Tracy) and David (Vicki); grandchildren Vincent (Noelle), Jon Douglas (Amanda), Joshua (Noelle), Jovi and Jenna; siblings Edgar, Hazel (Bungay) and William; sisters-in-law Delilah, Dinah, Mildred, Nellie and Cindy Preston (Bowmanville, ON); step mother-in-law Marlene Hanson (Stratford, ON); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Heartfelt thanks to the staff of the first floor C Wing at Glenbrook Lodge for their dedication and exceptional care during Wilfred’s stay. Special thank you to nurse Jason for his kindness and professionalism during this difficult time.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation at this time, a family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice.
Wendy, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you will be sustained by the many good memories of your life together.
