Obituary

Passed away suddenly at his home in Petty Harbour on November 1st, 2021 at the age of 60 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary (nee Butland). Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories are his siblings Madelyn Lee (Sam), Michael (Corrina) in New Waterford NS, and Paul (Darlene); his aunt Joan Hayes; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and a vast number of friends.

William served his country for 20 years and was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Navy. Special thanks to the friends who were always there for Bill.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. A commemoration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the Royal Canadian Legion.

Rip bill you will be miss

So sorry to hear this sad news. Bill & I sailed & hung out together in the early 8Os and had some great fun. Have lots of stories to tell – but not in polite company.. He was a good friend and a great guy who willl be sorely missed. Condolences to his family & friends.

Bill was the kindest man I have ever met in my life. He was not only caring but funny, he could make anyone laugh. I’m very lucky to have known him and I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace and my thoughts and condolences are with the family.

I didnt get to meet bills family so sorry for your loss. I met Bill at my sons house David we hit it off right away he was a great hand to have a laugh with and a torment to i might add. He will be missed. Sleep well Bill sleep well.
